LeAnn Schroeder Hardiek was a 29-year old mother of two young boys when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer.
She passed away in April 2015 at the age of 31.
Upon LeAnn’s first diagnosis with breast cancer, the Effingham, Illinois community rallied their support around her and her two young sons. The boys were often given toys, such as Lego sets, to keep them occupied during LeAnn’s hospital stays. The generosity towards her sons inspired LeAnn to give back to her community in the same way.
The LeAnn Schroeder Hardiek Friendship Endowment (LeAnn’s Light) was born out of LeAnn’s idea and passion to help others. Through your donations, we provide gift cards and other assistance to kids whose parents or siblings are battling cancer.
We’ve partnered with our friends at Designs Unlimited, who created some great apparel to benefit the mission of Leann’s Light! Click here to order, and thanks for your support!
